OMEGA

Omega was originally a brand of La Generale Watch Co., a company founded by Louis Brandt in Switzerland in 1848. He made key-wound precision pocket watches from the parts that were supplied by local craftsmen. In 1894, his sons developed an ingenious in-house manufacturing and total production control system, which made it possible to swap parts. Watches making use of these techniques were marketed as the Omega brand. Owing to the success of the brand in 1903, La Generale Watch Co. was rebranded as Omega.

Omega is the first watch to make it to the moon. It has also been the official timekeeper of the Olympic games since 1932. The company also made the world’s first doubly certified chronograph. Among the famous wearers of the brand were John F. Kennedy, Prince William, and the iconic, James Bond.
