ROLEX

Hans Wilsdorf founded Rolex in 1905. He wanted a brand name that was crisp, easy to pronounce and remember, and which would also look nice on the watch. Thus, “Rolex.” Rolex’s wristwatch was the first in the world to receive the Swiss Certificate of Chronometric Precision. They also made the first waterproof watch in the world.

In 1950s, they started developing watches for professionals. Their functions went far beyond simply telling the time. Today the brand is best known as the watches of achievers. Rolex is also the biggest manufacturer of Swiss-certified chronometers. They are also the record holder for the largest number of certified chronometer movements (category – wristwatches).
